Re: The Friday Night Special
How's it going Neil? Had any lessons? Been practicing myself quite a bit and breaking a few strings in the process!
By the time Paul gets back we will be like Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton (lol)

Re: The Friday Night Special
Hi Mick
The lesson was really good Mick,Mark got me onto the chordes and some basic bass runs we also done some work on the keys of the song which was interesting to me as i know feck all about that stuff lol. It has given me an insight into guitar/bass playing it's going to take a while but i will get there lol.
I have some good news Mick
Just downloaded Bitlord torrentsite and within 10 mins i had a copy of Johnny Cash live at Folsome Prison (full album) i have burned the cd and i'm listening to it now, i will make you and Pau a copy over the weekend.
Mick leave me a album that you would like and i will see if ican get it for you.

Neil, does that torrensite do bootlegs? If so I am after Brussels affair (or Nasty Music) and Handsome Girls. Both by the Stones, one with Mick Taylor and the other with Ron Wood. They are both brilliant, it is an absolute crime that they have never been released officially.

Re: The Friday Night Special
Hi guys when are we fixed for the next one ? Neil so glad you are taking a few lessons, i think it will really bring your enjoyment of playing on.
Thats a great list we have put together, I have not spoken with Alistair to see how he is getting on. Itsa lot to get through.
Jim I agree with Mick watching us is like nothing else you have heard and i dont mean that in a good sense ha. I go mostly for the beer wine & take away Pizza, its like a lads night out in so to speak but its great fun.
I akin it to golf, very occasionally once or twice in a round you hit a couple of good shots, likewise once or twice we hit the right notes in the right place.
On another note i have just about finished the DVD from our trip so we will get together to show you and Steve, neil any update for the cover for the Dio so we could take that ??

Re: The Friday Night Special
Hi Paul,
hope you had a good hol, not been doing too much practice the last few days, we lost a good friend of hours due to that blasted big C. Heather and I have been wrapped in in that for a while. Makes you realise how fragile life is and how we should get on and enjoy ourselves! Anyway, back on the bike now, so raring to go for the next session. I am off to Scotland next Saturday for a week, so can do something either before or after that?

Re: The Friday Night Special
Fantastic Paul. I will get there between 6.30 and 7.00. Of the new tracks I can do whiskey in the jar and tequila sunrise. Have not had a chance to look at hotel California yet. I will print off the johnny cash chords tonight. Can you put them on an iPod playlist? No worries about staying over thanks, as I don't mind not drinking. Really looking forward to it!
